What first aid courses can beginners join?
At Real First Aid, we offer qualifications that can be built upon for advanced emergency response capability. First aid and CPR procedures are all easy to learn and perform, allowing us to teach you the full spectrum of techniques in only one or two days. Beginners courses train first aiders in some of the most commonly used emergency response procedures with the greatest potential to assist casualties and confidently approach life-threatening situations. Courses suitable for beginners include:
Provide CPR (HLTAID001): This nationally accredited course takes only 3.5hrs to complete and offers qualifications that are valid for 12 months. Using simulation training methods, we deliver the ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including automated external defibrillator (AED) practice. The course includes artificial respiration training and appropriate emergency response while also empowering students with natural teamwork and leadership skills.
Provide First Aid (HLTAID003): Previously known as Senior First Aid/Level 2 First Aid, this course develops a comprehensive framework for newcomers. Along with Provide CPR capabilities, Provide First Aid also includes response to respiratory emergencies, shock and anaphylaxis, bandaging, head and spinal injuries and a whole lot more. Taking only one or two days to complete, with anaphylaxis training included, this qualification offers certification for 3 years, making it an incredibly valuable attainment.
Childcare First Aid Course (HLTAID004): Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care Setting has become the industry standard course for educators and support staff working with children. Asthma and anaphylaxis training are highlighted, using simulations to develop appropriate skills and the right demeanour when approaching children requiring first aid intervention. Taking only one or two days to complete, with certification lasting for 3 years, this course is a great introduction to first aid qualifications for industry-specific training.
