Why do I need Pocket Mask Training?
A pocket mask is a device with a filter and one-way valve to assist you in safely giving rescue breaths to a patient who is not breathing. The mask protects the user from contracting infectious diseases when administering first aid, while simultaneously decreasing the perception of risk.
Real Response is able to provide pocket mask training to students who require it for their employment. This includes the NSW Police Force and other emergency services.
Pocket mask training can be added on to the end of a Provide CPR (HLTAID009) or Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) course for an extra charge. You have the option to keep the pocket mask for a small fee.
What Accreditation will I Receive?
Upon completion, you will be awarded a Statement of Attendance. This can be its own certificate, or included on an HLTAID009 or HLTAID011 certificate as a specific unit covered. This is enough proof for a potential employer to know you have passed the course.
This course is not nationally accredited and is solely an industry specific course for those that require it.
