Overview

Provide Advanced Resuscitation course is created for situations that require oxygen during resuscitation. The course expects that participants have completed Provide CPR and have a basic understanding of the process of CPR.

Prerequisites English Literacy, Physical Ability – Able to Perform CPR on the Floor for 2 Minutes

Course Delivery

1 Day (8 Hours) Face-to-Face

Outcomes

• Assess the casualty and recognise the need for CPR, advanced resuscitation response or oxygen therapy
• Ensure the environment is safe for the delivery of oxygen
• Perform single-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or two-rescuer resuscitation procedures, including the use of oxygen
• Identify the need for oxygen therapy, including by using a pulse oximeter
• Use the appropriate delivery device to provide oxygen
• Check, maintain and clean equipment ready for future use
