FAQs

Online First Aid Course

What equipment do I need for the course?

You’ll need an internet-connected device with a camera (preferably a laptop or tablet) and a space around 1x2m for CPR demonstrations. All necessary First Aid equipment will be sent to you via Australia Post. If possible, having a second person to assist with demonstrations can be beneficial.

How is the course equipment delivered?

We deliver all course equipment through Australia Post, complete with tracking information. Equipment generally arrives the day before your course.

Can someone else participate in the course with me?

Absolutely, it’s even recommended. However, each participant must register and pay to receive their own certification.

Is the course live or can I take it at my convenience?

The course is live and interactive, facilitated via video call at a set time.  There is also pre-course online learning that can be  completed anytime up until at least 12 hours before the class.

Can I pick up the course equipment?

To simplify our operations, we’ve decided to deliver all equipment directly to you. Hence, pick-ups are no longer available.

What if I don’t receive my equipment on time?

On rare occasions, if you haven’t received your equipment before your class, please call 1300 744 980 before your course to be advised on the best options available to you. You may be asked to attend the class as scheduled and complete the assessment later, or be offered to reschedule your class for a date later in the week.

Does every participant need a device?

While it’s recommended for each participant to have a device, we require a minimum of one device for every two participants.

Do you conduct simulations like in face-to-face sessions?

While we can’t replicate face-to-face simulations exactly, we aim to make the scenarios in our online courses as relevant and engaging as possible based on the experiences of our participants.

Do I need to return the course equipment?

Yes, you’ll be provided with a reply paid Australia Post satchel to return your equipment. Just pack up the equipment and drop it off at a post office or box. Please note that failure to return the equipment will result in a $200 fee.

What happens if I experience technical difficulties during the course?

We understand that technical issues can occur. We recommend logging in 15 minutes prior to your course to test your connection.  Please call 1300 744 980 before your course and our operations team will do their best to help you resolve any issues. If you’re unable to complete the course due to technical problems, we’ll assist you in rescheduling.

Is there a test or exam at the end of the course?

Yes, the course involves both practical and knowledge-based assessments. However, you’ll be fully supported by our trainer throughout, ensuring you can complete these effectively.

Can I get my certificate today?

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the course and return of the equipment. While we aim for quick turnaround, please allow a few days for processing and issuance.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my course?

We understand that situations can arise. Please refer to our cancellation and rescheduling policy for detailed information.

Are the online courses as effective as the in-person courses?
