5. Learn and apply a range of life-saving skills to manage catastrophic haemorrhage and chest trauma
6. Learn & apply airway management skills to a semi conscious/unconscious casualty
7. Learn how to work safely in a hostile/dynamic environment
8. Practice applying these skills during high stress/realistic simulations over 2 days
9. Understand the importance of Mechanism of Injury
10. Practice applying these skills in low light scenarios
11. Understand the basic principles of triage
12. Learn a range of different evacuation techniques
13. Learn advanced airway techniques

The First Responder Tactical Trauma Course (FRTTC) prepares participants to provide first aid in a hostile environment. Following guidelines endorsed by the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), the course covers the theory and practical first aid management of ballistic, penetrating and blast injuries and a range of airway management, bandaging and self-care skills. The training also features realistic re-enactments where participants will have to put their skills to the test in a simulated environment.
