Overview

Provide Advanced First Aid, and Advanced Resuscitation is a comprehensive course design for those seeking a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of first aid events and emergencies. Participants will learn to conduct a complete assessment of a casualty and begin treatment steps, including using oxygen during resuscitation.
Prerequisites English Literacy, Physical Ability – Able to Perform CPR on the Floor for 2 Minutes, Internet Connection
Course Delivery

Outcomes
• Perform CPR on an adult, infant and child
• Practise using an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Assess the casualty and recognise the need for CPR, advanced resuscitation response or oxygen therapy
• Adrenaline auto-injector practice for anaphylaxis (severe allergy) victims
• Airway management techniques and procedures
• Bandaging first aid
• Casualty care, including psychological assistance

Provide Advanced Resuscitation course is created for situations that require oxygen during resuscitation. The course expects that participants have completed Provide CPR and have a basic understanding of the process of CPR.
The Provide First Aid in Remote Situations course is designed to equip students with superior first aid response capabilities. The course includes patient management and life support to persons in remote locations and situations, away from readily available emergency response services. The course looks at how to deal with variables that may not be relevant in an urban emergency.
